Gamma Tech’s first customer came from a computer programming classroom at Barron Collier High School, through my teacher, Mr. Ed Morgan.
Mr. Morgan taught programming during the day, and at night he taught adults how to use their computers, including the Microsoft Office suite. In 10th grade he told our class about a lady from his night classes who needed help organizing the photos on her desktop computer. He had told her he would find someone, and he guessed it would cost her about $20 an hour. He asked if anyone was interested.
I raised my hand right away, and Mr. Morgan gave me her information. I had the most amazing time helping her, and it was the most enjoyable $20 I had ever earned. I printed off business cards, and Gamma Tech was born.

For the first several years I drove around Naples fixing computers one house call at a time. In 2011 we moved into our first office with three employees. We added audio and video in 2012, wrapped our first truck in 2013, launched GTVoice in 2014 and became a licensed security company in 2015, outgrowing two offices along the way.
Mr. Morgan also gave me the opportunity to work at Allen Systems Group as an intern software engineer. That experience is what later allowed me to found ISOFY, software I built in 2019 to make networking for coworking spaces easy and secure. ISOFY grew into a global brand with customers in Europe, Australia, Canada, Asia and the Middle East. I exited ISOFY in 2022 to focus on Gamma Tech.
The same foundational knowledge Mr. Morgan gave me is now helping us stay at the forefront of AI, because we use those skills to help people build AI software into their businesses.
All of this was only possible because of what I learned from Mr. Morgan and the relationships he introduced me to. I’m grateful he gave a 16-year-old his first customer.
